Internship Milestones
Work Plan
At the beginning of the internship, students will schedule a meeting with their supervisor to discuss their work plan, goals, projects, and expectations. Please set aside enough time for this conversation and work with the student to establish clear and achievable goals for the internship.
This is an important meeting as the work plan will serve as the foundation for the student’s work throughout the program and will help guide their academic progress and final grade.
Midterm Meeting
Around the midpoint of the internship, students and supervisors will meet to review progress, discuss ongoing projects, and identify areas for improvement or next steps. Please make time for an open discussion and provide constructive feedback to help the student continue developing.
Please note: This meeting is separate from the CIEE midterm check-in, which is a one-on-one meeting between CIEE staff and the supervisor and student.
Final Reflection
Toward the end of the internship, students will reflect on their experience, accomplishments, and professional development. Supervisors are encouraged to set aside time to discuss the student’s progress and provide feedback that can help them reflect on their experience and identify areas for future growth.
